Many brides dream of being a perfect princess for a day on their wedding day. A bridal tiara will match a large, ballroom wedding gown or a simple sheath dress. Making your own tiara will save on costs and provide you with the exact tiara that you desire. A pearl tiara gives the bride a simple, tastefully serene tiara. A tiara with pearls and crystals, or only crystals, is perfect for the bride who craves more sparkle in her special day and wants her tiara to shine brightly. Making your own tiara is as simple as stringing beads on wire and bending the wire into a tiara shape.

Use wire cutters to cut a piece of medium-gauge jewelry wire into an 8-inch-long length. Cut another one into a 7-inch-long piece. Cut one 4-inch-long piece, two 3-inch-long pieces and two 2-inch-long pieces.

2

String pearls and crystal beads onto the 8-inch-long length, leaving an inch of wire empty at each end. String 1 crystal, then 8 pearls, then repeat the pattern until you have 6 inches of the wire filled. Bend the wire into a semicircle shape for the base, then bend the wire into a loop at each end to hold bobby pins which will keep the tiara on.

3

String pearls and beads in the same 8-to-1 pattern on the 7-inch-long wire. Wind this wire around the other wire, in the middle of the base, so that each end of the smaller wire ends at the loops.

4

String pearls and beads on the other wires, leaving 1/2 inch empty at the end of each one.

5

Bend the 4-inch-long piece into a semicircle that is about 2 inches wide. Attach it perpendicularly to the front of the tiara base by winding the 1/2-inch pieces at each end around the base.

6

Bend the two 3-inch-long pieces into a semicircle that is about 1 1/2-inches wide. Attach it perpendicularly to the tiara base by winding the 1/2-inch pieces at each end around the base. Each piece should be on either side of the 4-inch-long piece, overlapping the front piece by 1 inch.
